HQ served as New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission consultant to F. J. Sciame Construction and architects Cook + Fox for the design of new buildings along Front Street and Peck Slip in the South Street Seaport Historic District.  The project included the adaptive reuse of a number of historic buildings along Front Street and the construction of two new infill buildings.  Completed in 2006, the Front Street Redevelopment is one of New York’s most sophisticated examples of the subtle interweaving of historic and contemporary design in an historic district context with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability.
