Higgins, Quasebarth & Partners served as historic preservation consultant to the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation and New Lab for the rehabilitation of Building 128, a former ship engine assembly facility. HQ worked with BNYDC, its architects and tenants (including New Lab) to develop plans to restore this 260,000 square-foot glass and steel facility. The building, which had sat derelict for decades, is now occupied by a high-tech shared manufacturing facility, light-manufacturing and food production facilities.

HQ has served as the Navy Yard’s preservation consultant on a range of projects, including preparing the National Register listing for the Yard, and various Section 106 reviews.
