HQ served as historic preservation consultants to Harvard University for the development of a new building for their division of library services. HQ provided design consultation to architects Leers Weinzapfel Associates, which was based on historical research on the Harvard Square neighborhood in which the building would be located. The result is a distinguished modern building which harmonizes with the scale and character of its historic surroundings. HQ also guided the project through the Cambridge Historical Commission review and approval process. 90 Mount Auburn Street was completed in 2007 and was certified LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Buildings Council. The Mount Auburn Street project received an AIA New England Award 2007, the Boston Society of Architects Honor Award for 2008, and the AIA New York Building Type Design Award for Sustainable Design 2008.
