Wall and Hanover Building

Project Description

In 2005, the Wall and Hanover Building was converted to residential use.  Higgins Quasebarth & Partners served as historic preservation consultants to the owner of the 1920s Delano & Aldrich designed skyscraper, which was originally the headquarters of Brown Brothers & Co., the oldest and largest private banking firm in the country.  HQ conducted extensive historical research which resulted in the building’s listing on the National Register of Historic Places and made it eligible to receive historic preservation tax credits.  HQ worked with Avinash K. Malhotra Architects to ensure that all renovations were in keeping with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.  The conversion of the Wall and Hanover Building was completed in 2005.
