Higgins Quasebarth & Partners served as historic preservation consultants to the Neighborhood Partnership H.D.F.C. for the rehabilitation of seven tenement buildings as part of the Department of Housing Preservation & Development’s Neighborhood Entrepreneur Program.  HQ conducted extensive historical research which resulted in the listing of each building on the National Register of Historic Places.  Working with Albert Montoya Architect, HQ ensured that all rehabilitations complied with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards in order to receive federal historic preservation tax credits.  The Neighborhood Partnership H.D.F.C. paired these valuable tax credits with low-income housing tax credits.  The Mott Haven project was completed in 1997.
