The Fieldston Historic District, which contains 257 buildings, was designated as a significant example of an early twentieth-century romantically planned suburb by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2006.  HQ served as historic preservation consultants to the Fieldston Property Owners Association in reviewing a proposed master plan for the historic district.  Master plans provide specifically designed guidelines for work which can be approved by the staff of the Commission.  The Fieldston Historic District Master Plan was adopted by the Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2009.
