HQ served as historic preservation consultants to the Wildlife Conservation Society for the construction of a new children’s zoo within  Central Park.  The project included replacing the 1960s children’s zoo with a contemporary design more compatible with the historic Olmsted Vaux landscape. HQ provided historical research and interpretation of the existing site to inform the public review and approval at the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission.
