HQ served as historic preservation consultants to Armani A/X for the restoration of their Fifth Avenue storefront.  Located in the Ladies’ Mile Historic District, Armani A/X occupies the ground floor of an early twentieth century Israels & Harder designed building originally used by the Lord & Taylor Department Store.  Through historical research and on-site testing, HQ was able to document the original storefront design comprised of cast iron, stone and a unique prismatic glass transom.  HQ provided construction-period consultation for the restoration of this magnificent storefront which had been hidden from view for a number of years.  The work was approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission and the project was completed in 2003
