HQ served as historic preservation consultants to Philips International in the conversion and rehabilitation of this Art Deco / Gothic Revival masterpiece.   The American Radiator Building, an individual New York City landmark, was designed by Raymond Hood and built in 1924 overlooking Bryant Park.  HQ worked with David Chipperfield Architects of London to ensure that all renovations adhered to federal preservation standards to qualify for historic preservation tax credits.  HQ also provided technical preservation consulting on the restoration of cast stone, brick, and slate elements of the building in addition to guiding the project through the Landmarks Preservation Commission approval process.  This project was completed in 2002 and the American Radiator Building now functions as the Bryant Park Hotel.
